Updated: Nov 30, 2023

We are excited to announce the details of Jungle Academy's 2024 Adventure Camp. This time we are traveling ...

Summit to Sea

The (revised) dates for the Camp are:

Week 1 - Jan 15 - 16 - 17

Week 2 - Jan 22 - 23 -24

Week 3 - Jan 28 -29 -30 - 31

All above workshops are held at Jungle Academy - 8am - 2pm, Monday to Wednesday.

Camp is Sunday to Wednesday.

Participants will be able to deepen their knowledge and experience of being in the wilds of the Costa Rican jungle. As usual, the camp will be offering hands on, practical workshops for students who love the outdoors including, First Aid, knots, camping skills, emergency Spanish, tribal art, and much more. The camp we will also focus on physical geography, topography and tides, so we are truly ready to navigate our way from summit to sea.

If you've never completed a camp like this before then this will be a great time to learn new skills and make new friends. If you've already taken part in camps with us, or done similar camps elsewhere, this will be a great opportunity to brush-up your skills, learn new ones and demonstrate your leadership skills.

To become an Outdoorsman is a life long learning journey.

Full attendance of class workshops is required for participation in the off-site camp

for new students. This is for safety reasons and also to build a sense of togetherness.

We are proud to announce that our 2023 camp was attended by 26 children all of whom successfully completed assigned activities safely and happily - and this was in spite of some participants having never slept away from home or camped before. Our team included outdoor instructors, classroom teachers, as well as parent volunteers. Safety and acting responsibly when in nature is of vital importance to us, hence the requirement for class attendance.

Parent Feedback from 2023 camp "It's far exceeded my expectations, and [the student's] as well. He has been telling me that he misses sleeping in the jungle!"

"Thank you for such an amazing camp. [Student] is still glowing"
