Vision: a hub of passionate Educators creatively teaching a wide range of colourful content

on a rotating basis.

We are gifted with a treasure trove of subject matter specialists living or passing through the Costa Ballena area. OJA creates a collaborative work environment and creativity hub where such specialists can access the resources and support needed to help them deliver their craft, and be rewarded intrinsically and financially. Whether educators deliver one or multiple specialist courses, OJA will provide a supportive platform to enable them to create an interaction with students that is focused, rich and engaging.

What this will look like in reality?

A marine biologist submits an 8-week* science course. After the Educator proposes the course topic, the interest and viability of the course is affirmed by student/parent sign-up:

• Courses and outcomes are decided by the Educator and agreed with students and parents via their desire to sign-up for the class.

• Administration (registration, documentation, assessment, record keeping) is overseen by OJA.

* Educators who wish to create shorter (less than 8-week courses) can do so as time slots will be reserved for ad hoc 'visiting' educators.
