Bienvenido to Cycle 24, our July to September cycle!

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow for Cycle 24, which runs from Wednesday, July 22 to Friday, September 25, 2026.
The first few days are always one of our favourite parts of the cycle. From Wednesday to Friday we’ll be welcoming new students, reconnecting with old friends, celebrating students moving into new groups, and helping everyone settle in.
Week 1 is also when students help shape the cycle ahead. Together we’ll revisit our community agreements, set goals, choose our after-school sports, help plan upcoming events, and even have input into the hot lunch menu. Please encourage your children to come with plenty of ideas, curiosity and enthusiasm!
Student Reminders
Please take a few minutes to (re)read the Student Handbook before tomorrow:

Water bottle
Packed lunch
Pencil case with basic supplies (plus any preferred notebooks)
ALP students only: Laptop or iPad for individual Math and English learning (headphones are strongly recommended)
All technology is used under teacher supervision for learning only. Outside of learning activities, we are a phone/device-free school.
Arrival: Students should arrive by 8:30am.
On arrival: Please place packed lunches in the refrigerator.
Timetables: Class groupings and timetables will be finalized during Week 1 and shared during Week 2.

Read the Agreements v2. Please note that this has been refreshed so all families should take a moment to review the points.
Complete a Student Form for each child if you haven’t already done so (required for all new students).
Join the Families WhatsApp group to receive school updates. EEP Families should also join the separate EEP Whatsapp Group
Parking & Pick-up
Parking: Please park on Calle Papagayo near the Jungle Academy sign and walk onto campus via the black gate and footbridge.
Collection:
2:30pm - Regular dismissal
4:00pm - Students attending after-school sports
After-School Sports
Sports begin Friday, July 24 with Big Games at the Ojochal Sports Field.
The rest of the weekly sports schedule will be confirmed after students share their preferences during Week 1.
Sports are included at no extra charge on the days students are enrolled, with the exception of Pickleball (US$40 per cycle).
If your child is not attending sports, please collect them promptly at 2:30pm. We are unable to transport students to sports venues unless they are participating.
Once the sports schedule is confirmed for the cycle, we’ll ask you to complete the After-School Activities & Dismissal Form so we know your child’s arrangements.
If your child is going home with another Jungle Academy family, there’s no need to let us know. For any other changes requiring teacher support, please WhatsApp +506 7220 1100 by 2:00pm. We ask that students do not organise playdates or collection changes with teachers during the school day.
A Few More Things
Office Hours: WhatsApp +506 7220 1100 between 7:30am and 4:00pm.
Hot Lunches: Our hot lunch programme starts in Week 2. The menu will be shared at the end of Week 1 after students have had their say.
Sports Transport: If you’re able to help occasionally with transporting students to sports venues, we’d love to hear from you.
