Family Connection and Communications 2026

Hola Familias!

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow for Cycle 24, which runs from Wednesday, July 22 to Friday, September 25, 2026.

The first few days are always one of our favourite parts of the cycle. From Wednesday to Friday we’ll be welcoming new students, reconnecting with old friends, celebrating students moving into new groups, and helping everyone settle in.

Week 1 is also when students help shape the cycle ahead. Together we’ll revisit our community agreements, set goals, choose our after-school sports, help plan upcoming events, and even have input into the hot lunch menu. Please encourage your children to come with plenty of ideas, curiosity and enthusiasm!

We’d like to share a brief update regarding student use of devices ☎️ at school and ask for family support as we continue through this cycle.

For the most part, laptops and phones are being used responsibly, and we appreciate the support many of you provide at home in reinforcing healthy habits 🙏. As a reminder, our policy is as follows:

Laptops

• Only to be used under teacher supervision during class time

• Not to be used during breaks unless there is express approval and supervision by a teacher

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to refine the lunch process. Our aim is to provide meals that are healthy, accessible, and cost-effective, while balancing a range of preferences and needs.

Lunch is also served at different times across locations, as ALP and EEP have different schedules, so we appreciate your understanding, and your patience with the occasional hiccups as we continue to improve the process.

Dear Families 🌿

Our lunch program is now underway and, overall, everything is running smoothly. Thank you 🙏🏽 for clearly communicating your child’s lunch choices and selected days — this really helps us keep the system organized.

There have been a few occasions where a child has requested lunch that was not previously ordered. Of course, we will always ensure that no child goes without food, so this is never a problem.

To help avoid confusion going forward, we will begin sharing a weekly summary of lunch orders with all families so you can clearly see what has been ordered and paid for. Please see the summary for the upcoming week below. (D, W, M denote payment Daily, Weekly, or Monthly).

A reminder that weekly lunch orders should be submitted and paid for (cash) by each Friday before the following week.
